Fuel Economy and Performance
The AMG GT 4-Door Coupe comes in four flavors. The base GT43 model starts with a 3.0-liter turbocharged I-6 making 362 hp and 369 lb-ft—enough for a claimed 0-60 time of 4.8 seconds. The GT53 takes the same engine and tunes it up to 429 hp and 384 lb-ft. In our testing, the GT53 did the same sprint in 4.1 seconds. GT63 models swap in a 4.0-liter twin-turbo V-8, which Is good for 577 hp and 590 lb-ft.
Technology
For 2024, the AMG GT 4-Door Coupe gets the latest version of Mercedes-Benz's MBUX operating system. The software runs through a central 12.3-inch infotainment touchscreen, which matches the driver's equally sized gauge cluster. Wheel-mounted buttons, voice activation, and a console touchpad offer alternative ways to control infotainment, but we found ourselves opting for the touchscreen more often than not.
Wireless charging, Burmester surround sound, navigation, and smartphone compatibility all come standard.
Interior Room
We found the AMG GT 4-Door Coupe comfortable in our testing, but there's no doubt that it's less spacious than the competition. The Audi A7 uses its fastback shape to offer hatch-like practicality, which the Mercedes-Benz can't match.
